Hello Non Pedal Steel Players -

I'm fairly new to Steel Guitar Forum and lap steel in general. I am looking for tabs C6 to accompany a solo song my father sang in the 50's entitled Sail Along silvery Moon.

Does anyone know where I may obtain the tabs for this beautiful song?

Thank you!
Smile

Hi Irene,

I remember this song way back in the 50's. Billy Vaughn and his Orchestra with 2 lead Saxophones in Harmony. What a sound! I learned it on lap steel in C6 tuning and it lays very well there.
It's a good one for you to go after.
Good Luck

Roy

Here's a version on a pedal guitar, but the tune has only three chords so it should not be too hard to pick up. Its a good learner piece, but in C6 the only wrinkle will be finding a flat 7.
