I got a sho-bud and was having some trouble getting the b pedals tunned as well as making the actual pedal go down further along side the A pedal. I think my "tunning nuts"? were to tight. I kind of fixed the problem. The B pedal still doesnt go down as far as I would like it to. I got some good advice, I just dont understand some of the terms like swivvel connector, ball joint, yada yada. Is there any good reading on this kind of stuff?

Maybe you could make the pedal rod a little longer till the B pedal "bottoms out" where you want it to in relation to your A pedal. Do they both have a similar amount of travel? I think you might want the B to bottom out a bit lower than your A pedal? Does that seem like what you're striving for? (supposing Emmons set up)

I would like the b pedal to bottom out even with the a pedal. thats what i got used to with my carter starter. but i geuss it makes scence to have it bottom out lower. Hoe would you make the rod longer.

if your rods are like any I've seen, there is a fitting threaded to the bottom end of the rod where it fastens to the pedal. this threaded end would unscrew (loosen the locking nut) & a turn or two would probably be enough to get the pedals bottoming out about even. Is your ShoBud a Pro I ? (If it's a Maverick, they may be different? Can't remember? Senior moment!)

Thanks for the info doug. Yes, its a pro one. I moved the ball on the pedal up a noch and it pretty much evened them out. playing much better. Now Im going to try the trick with the rod to get the 3rd pedal even as well. So you just unscrew it a bit?, then rescrew? not sure what your talking about

Alex...If you turn the pedal rod coupler in a clockwise position, tightening it, it will bring the pedal up. Counter clockwise, the pedal will go down. You can adjust either way, unless you run out of threads on the pedal rod.
