I thought the '65 tube deluxe sounded fuller and deeper. There is a big difference. Love the tube sound!

they are exactly the same, just different !

as Seinfeld would say to the new improved

"Do I want to feel better faster, or longer"

My totally insignificant take, Fender made a new amp, good for them, they called it the same as the OLD amp, NOT good for them.

They had a DR, everyone loved them , then they had a DRRI, not everyone loved them , now the Tonemaster DR , is it based on the DR or the DRRI ?

Its just like the DRRI which is NOT like the DR .

Should have just called it the Tonemaster 22 because it is NOT a Deluxe Reverb or a Twin Reverb.

But they did succeed in one sense, every guitar forum across the world is talking about them.

If you promise an amplifier that has the appearance and tone of a Fender tube amp but weighs half as much, that alone will garner most player's attention! IMO: the most valuable employees at Fender are their R&D and public relations people, they certainly must be a main reason why Fender is able to market a foreign built, solid state unit for such premium prices.
