Forum member Steve Hinson makes the drum case material cases. I think he calls his company "Brand X". |

I have a Red Dirt Split case setup -- one case for the body of the guitar, and other case for the pedal bar, legs and rods! Wheels on the body case !! best money you will spend for your guitars protection - and your backs !!!

I'm now using the cases that are now known as 'Brand X'. Mine date from before Steve took the company over but they're virtually the same thing.
I believe that Woody Woodell made mine. Bobbe Seymour put me on to Woody way back in around 2004.
I don't think I'd ship a steel in one of these fibre-cases but they're perfect if you're handling your stuff yourself. These days, if my Emmons D-10 is not separated, I struggle to lift even my old Wheel-Ez case that I could once heft as though it was nothing!
Get in touch with Steve Hinson. _________________ Roger Rettig: Emmons D10, B-bender Teles and Martins - and, at last, a Gibson Super 400!

People fly steels,amps,pak-a-seats all over the world in my cases-I haven't had any complaints yet, except that it takes so long to get them!I WILL be building cases this winter!

I'm happy with my Brand X case which I had made for my Sho-Bud Professional body. There is no way I would even consider playing that heavy old beast otherwise but it's been a dream using it again since I can now carry it to gigs.
I just use a small keyboard gig bag for the legs, rods and pedal rack. |

While you're waiting for a split case,a gig bag for a 61 key electric keyboard will carry your leg bag and pedal rack.Kind of a kludge, but a cheap one! |
