I need a steel guitar mechanic to clean up and install the knee lever on a cheap ole Maverick ShoBud. My friend, Jim Arnold lives in Clifton Texas near Waco. Whos around that part of Texas that does repair work? It can be further away too, but I don't know the Texas guys' all that well to recommend. Thanks. Duane Becker |

Mitchell Smithey at MSA is awesome, but I'm sure he's up to his eyeballs in pedal rods |

I haven't used him personally, but Jim Flynn at Lone Star Steel Guitars in Salado gets rave reviews from some folks I know and trust.

You might reach out to Steve Lamb in Fort Worth. I think he is now operating by appointment only these days.

I don't know Texas geography very well but don't forget Ricky Davis, I know from personal experience he does good work on old Sho-Buds, he also lives not too far away from Michael Yahl who's reproduction parts for many guitars are better than the original item. |
