After all these years folks I have finally found one, a Roland DD3 or DD5 Substitute and its amazing how good it sounds, anyhow its a Digitech RP-50 and you set it to preset 35
you have to change the master volume to 50, the preset level to 50 the compressor off, the amp model to b1, the noise gate off, the EQ to b9 turn off the chorus, "leave on delay and Reverb as is",
folks it sounds just like the Roland setup
I've seen em for under $30.00 anyhow that's my story and I'm sticking to it

Rich, awesome! Have you found any other settings you like using the RP50? I just got another, I had one years ago and actually managed to come up with h a pretty good dobro sound, but it’s been so many years ago I’ve no idea what the settings were I used _________________ Pre RP Mullen D10 8/7, Zum 3/4, Carter S-10 3/4, previous Cougar SD-10 3/4 & GFI S-10 3/4, Fender Steel King, 2 Peavey Session 500's, Peavey Nashville 400, Boss DD-3, Profex-II, Hilton Digital Sustain, '88 Les Paul Custom,Epiphone MBIBG J-45, Fender Strat & Tele's, Takamine acoustics, Marshall amps, Boss effects, Ibanez Tube Screamer, and it all started with an old cranky worn out Kay acoustic you could slide a Mack truck between the strings and fretboard on!! |
