If a BL710 pickup is connected incorrectly(polarity reversed) can it give a zinging tone when the A pedal is pressed and 4 & 5 strings are played?????
I have researched and tried everything else regarding zing.
Thanks in advance.
Andy

There is no "polarity" on the Lawrence pickups. I've hooked mine up both ways to see if there was a difference and there wasn't.

If the pickup is too close to the strings there can be some overdrive distortion, too much highs and loss of sustain. The pickup needs to be at least 3/16" from the pickups. I have mine set to a "loose" 3/16 and according to Mr Franklin I have them at the "right height" on my Franklin D-10.
