So...
I just took dad's triple-neck, one-off custom, birds's eye maple lap steel to get re-strung at Jensen's guitar.(apparently, a Rickenbacker custom)
It was like Pulp Fiction, when the suitcase was opened and dad's lap steel was revealed.
Everybody in the store stopped and said "this is Bill Tonnesen's steel?
Yup!
It was like a signed football from Vince Lombardi showing up at Podunk USA.
So...
Do any of you want to give some tips, or, give me some lessons? I can play the harmonica. and, have a bit of rhythm, probably from some sort of genetics passed down from dad.GIVE ME A CALL.

I know there's a bunch of you that knew my pops, including you, the owner of Jensen's (BTW, hope you are having a blast playing that thing)
Another, BIG BTW, you should watch the great KCET/PBS special about country-western music from the 30's to 60's.
Pops is there along with the playboys and pretty-much every artist of the times, including the Carter Sisters, Mini Pearl, Grandpa Jones, Merle Haggard, Buck Owens, Roy Clark, Ole Rasmussen, and and the Smoggy Valley Boys.
