Just curious, what is there about this guitar that would make you think it is a Carter?

| Except for the knee levers being different...and mounted in a usable place (mine were not) it looks dead-on like the 12-string version of my old MSA Classic D-10. and I agree - the weight is a giveaway as well. Well, lack of knowledge, for one thing. 
Seriously, I own a '73 MSA, and I've seen several Carters to which I've compared my MSA. The eBay offering looks far more like a Carter than it does like my MSA (pedals, underbody, endplates, case), but (boy oh boy) I've been wrong before. Guess I'm wrong again. That eBay guitar does look really nice....

My D-10 weighed as much as a car, had really thin tone, tuning problems, and a couple of badly-mounted add-on knee levers. the tuning poblem I think was really worn-out tuners, because mechanically it seemed pretty well put together. But the combination of the poor tone (only my opinion - some might like it, but it had that thin, nasal sound I find unsuitable for my playing) and weight made it unusable for me. |
