I have a 1970's ShoBud that I consider in very good condition that I would like to sell.
It is a single neck in piano black in the original hard case. The serial number would indicate it was made circa 1975. The model number is 6139. I am not a steel player and this beautiful looking instrument is just not being used. I am in Australia so any shipping would have to be taken into account. It has new strings and the pickup works well - it does not have any volume/tone controls. I would love to know its value and for it to go to a keen player / collector. I will get some photos together if I deem there is any interest at all.
Regards
Michael Davie

I don't think you will have too much trouble finding a buyer, even in Australia. You might want to advertise with the Brisbane Steel Guitar Club as well as here on the forum:

Others can chime in on price, but to be honest, no one can say much without good photos and more details. How many knee levers are there, for example? Be sure to get photos from all angles, including upside down in the case - and maybe a closeup from that angle of the changer area.
Prices tend to be a bit higher in Oz than in the US, due to the cost of shipping them in.
Good luck with the sale, mate! _________________ Bringing steel guitar to the bukid of Negros Oriental! |
