For sale is my 1974 model MSA Classic D12, 9 pedals, 5 knee levers (including 1 vertical lever). E9 Emmons on the front (E's on left) and C6 on the back. Standard tunings on both necks. This guitar is solid as a rock (and as heavy!), stays in tune like no other guitar I've had, and would be great for a practice room or someplace mostly stationary. It's really not too bad to move with a dolly or split cases and it sounds great. I've taken it to a few gigs and had no difficulty using a dolly.

It comes with a Justice case in very good shape and a vinyl leg and rod bag.

I held off on selling this steel for the last year or so, because it is such a great guitar, but it deserves a good home and someone to play it. I'm selling it because I play a lot of C6 and wanted to add some more C6 changes, but decided to sell it instead. It does everything you could ever need on the E9 neck IMHO. Sometimes I removed the bottom 2 strings and played it as a D-10, but those bottom 2 strings are great for comping and playing blues riffs, plus simulating some low C6 sounds on the E9.

I think the mica is called Tidewater White, it has a little gray pattern in it and is very good-looking. I'd say it is in better than average shape for a guitar its age. it has a few marks and what looks like a small cigarette burn on it (see pictures). Mechanically, it is in real good shape, and was set up for me by Mitchell Smithey at MSA.

The red and gray item on the underside in one of the pictures was some foam and duct tape that I attached for a little while to the vertical knee lever. I've since added an aluminum flag that makes that unnecessary.

I live about 10 minutes from the location of the Dallas show, happening this week. Save shipping and take a classic home with you!! Asking $1,800. Will be happy to let a prospective buyer take a personal look and test drive!

If it's still available, I'd like to buy it.
