Mine gave up after about 20 years. It had a dubbing feature with a radio and sound so I can play the cassetts. It was just a cheapie from Sears.
I know that these are obsolete these days , so maybe someone has one in the closet or something, now that digital discs are used.
I have some old tapes that I want to pick out any good solos, dubb them over to a clean tape, then load that tape in the computer, where I can then burn a CD.
Some will be "Then" and some will be "Now"
If you have one that is still in good condition, Clutches not wore out, etc. tell me by Email what you have . OK?. Thanks..al

Don't go from the original tape, to a new tape, and THE tom computer. You'll loose quality. Go from the original tape directly to digital.

Gary-Thanks for the tip, I figured that would be true. Still looking for a simple tape recorder with two cassette capaability, with builtin sound. Prefer small fairly portable unit.
Can't Seem to find them in Best Buy or anywhere anymore....al

Al, I have 2 of them, one of which I want to keep. I'll check it out tomorrow and get back with you. I think it's a Teac. It's in real good shape. Thanks, Lyle |
