This was Vega's flagship lap steel model in the late 1930s. The vast majority have a silver finish on the wooden body to match the nickel-plated brass on top - but this one has a factory-original brown burst finish. The steel has its original humbucking pickup and hardware, and it comes with a modern hard case.

Asking $including Paypal fees and shipping within the US.

They had humbucking pickups in the 30's???

There were a number of humbucking pickups then. Vega had several versions, including a true horseshoe design that was used in guitars and mandolins (this steel has non-magnetic hand rests). Audiovox developed one by 1933 that was used by Dobro in the All-Electric guitars of that same year. The Valco string-through units were humbuckers, and those came out in 1939.
