"Say, Noah, didn't you just post about acquiring this guitar a few days ago?" Yeah, I did. I'm not proud of flipping it, but a rare and unique '30s National electric steel is singing my name. Those things call to me like the sirens to Odysseus: "Come... spend money... too much money........ Burma Shave."
If I didn't already have two other spider-bridge square necks, I'd part with something else. It's not the loudest resonator ever made, but it has a warm, deep tone that's just beautiful. There's one ding in the top treble-side corner (I tried to photograph it) but otherwise it's in very good condition. There's a piezo in the bridge, but the jack is installed in the cover plate such that no drilling was done. Everything is set up nicely, with no buzzing and no fret wear at all (sorry, guitarist's joke).
I'm asking $including Paypal fees and shipping within the US.
Because the forum format shrinks pics down, I've put them all in an album here.
