Nice. No PSG, Donny, but at least Megan (Larkin Poe) was holding her Rickenbacker lap steel. Seems like they could have given her one of those slide guitar lines to play but I'm sure they were there for the sibling harmonies. Great job though, from a very diverse lineup of musicians.
Now if you want to hear an Easy Rider song with loads of PSG...

I'll bet you're right, Jack. I knew that Red Rhodes played on the Notorious Byrd Brothers album that song came from so I just assumed it was him. On further listening, yeah, probably is Clarence. Either way, I love that album. |

there is steel on Wasn't Born To Follow, courtesy of Red Rhodes. Clarence is on there too, but he didn't have the b-bender yet. _________________ 1965 Emmons S-10, 3x5 • Emmons LLIII D-10, 10x12 • JCH D-10, 10x12 • Beard MA-8 • Oahu Tonemaster |

Of course, if you want some steel on a tune from Easy Rider, there is always this one:

That's Red Rhodes on that cut as well. The singer/co-writer, "Stash" Wagner, lives here in Dumaguete. We played together a little when I first got back 9 months ago, but he's not really into country, so he wandered on to other bands. _________________ Bringing steel guitar to the bukid of Negros Oriental! |
