1991...any idea what album that was on? Was just listening to the original in my truck this morning. When you figure the original cut was from the early sixties, he was sofar ahead of his time It’s immeasurable.
Thanks for posting that!

The first time I heard this tune was on the Cherokees album which came out in either '62 or early '63. I had just returned from Clark AFB in June '63. It was sung by Charlie Harris on that album. Buddie said he went over to Charlie's house the day before to work it up. This conversation was the last time I saw him and the only quality time that I ever with him. He was a little ticked over the fact that not one musician was listed on the back even though top players were on the recording. Wade Ray, Kieth Coleman, Grady Martin, etc. All that was listed was Ray Price and Pamper Music. _________________ GFI ULTRA D-10, EVANS, FENDER 2000 (WORN OUT) TWIN REVERB W/JBL'S, OLD 4-10 BASSMAN |

Very similar version (also with BE) is on Ray Price's 2002 CD entitled "Time" |

Are you sure about Harris on that?
Is this the LP to which you refer?
