I,m a new member but and old steel player.I owm an MSA D12 ser 2c1407 would like to know age and pedal set up when new. I am enjoying the forum and information should have been here a long time ago |

Stanley, my guess for your guitar's date of manufacture would be around the middle of October, in '73. As far as the tuning, Carter has an original owner's manual online which lists the standard tuning setups MSA used...

Stanley B....Thank you for playing an MSA.
Serial number 2C1407 shows to be a rosewood formica double 12 which left the factory with 8 pedals and 4 knee levers. It's original destination was Black Jack Music. Your guitar was born on August 17th 1973.
