this looks like a perfect light weight, giggin guitar... super compact, modern steel... yet, I can't find any info on it, no reviews.no videos, no players, nothing ... this guitar could be loaded with 5 pedals and 5 knee levers ... anybody plays one? nyone heard one? anything?

is that a bad thing or something? It is strange to me that nobody talks about Aero models, there is plenty info, reviews and videos of any other GFI models, but nothing on Aero, which I find pretty strange...

| Mike Sigler is who you need to talk to. Mike Sigler and Gene Fields both worked on the idea together so Mike would have a guitar for overhead plane compartment. Mike took the first one, Blackie Taylor took the 2nd. I built one for myself that is goldvein with Expo caps front and rear. I still have that guitar and like it a lot. It is 4X5 with the 4th pedal a Sigler pedal. Bob may have sold another one, I can't remember, But there is only 3 or 4 out there. There are still three frames on the self waiting for orders. |

A few years ago Fred Newell brought one of Those to Anchorage Alaska and we wound up playing some together and he had one like that he had it in the overhead compartment of the plane ,and although I didn't get to play it I thought that it sounded great and I wanted to have a guitar like it...I didn't hear any weirdness from the short scale.

Interesting. Thanks. I’ve noticed that on the company webpage, this guitar is categorized under Ultra. If you click Ultra, it then gives you two options, either “Aero†or “keyless.â€

I have a 22 1/2" Ultra that is basically an Aero made before they marketed it under that name. I have 4+5 on it with an Alumitone pickup,it originally had a GFI 2. It is very light and compact and fits on a tight stage like a lap steel would. It sounds great and plays very smooth. Sustain is not a problem. No video of it,sorry. GFI told me mine was originally sold by Gene to Bobbe Seymour.

The Ultra is a 24" scale.
The Aero is 22.5".
Just a comment, but I'd think that you'd want to increase the string gauges on the Aero to keep them from feeling too loose/slinky. |

I do bump my string gauges up a little,mostly on the wound strings.

ok guys, thanks a lot for the info ... i was surprised when I found out there is no videos, or reviews or anything about that guitar on the internet... you can find something just about any steel out there, except GFI Aero , I have never seen that ... and it looks like a great little guitar, especially for guys who travel a lot ...

| I recently purchased a keyless Ultra from formite Dean Rimmer, and as my old man used to say " I don't love it but I'm damned fond of it" Its lite it stays in tune, with the legs and peddle bar in a gun case, the NV 112 is the heaviest thing I take to our jams, yep I like it |
