I just finished building this aluminum 8 string Frypan lap steel. 23" scale. Black Walnut fingerboard with brass fret lines and aluminum dots. Custom made pickup (by me) 12K resistance.

I'm using a 25 watt Squire amp, super clean, volume not so high, and in a small very dead sounding room, and a hand held voice recorder.
It doesn't sound like an acoustic, to me, when playing it.
Thank you for your feedback. I need it not only on the guitars I build but also the recordings. I am not a performer.
I removed the second recording. Playing is more along lines of acoustic, I suppose.
( If anyone else wants to chime in on the sound, feel free. )
