Hello all. Please forgive me if this is the wrong spot for an introduction. I'm new here. I'm a novice non-pedal player but prolific builder of string instruments. Below you will see some of my creations.

These are my first steel builds. 1. Is my pineapple semi-hollow maple on walnut in Open G.
2. Is my Cherry Fenderesque Tele-Lapster in Open D.

3. Is a cypress on cherry hollow body steel I built as a donation to my local VA medical center's music therapy program.

4. is a project double neck walnut I am still working on.

And #5 & 6 are a pair of Rogue/Harmonia steels (same thing) I upgraded with brass nuts, Fender TBX tone pots, and the blue one has a SD Hot Rails in C6th and the red one has a Demarzio Dual rail in E7 tuning.

I know I'll be asking many questions as I head into this phase of my instrument craze. But for now I just wanted to say Howdy from Central Texas.

I may, in fact, be nuts. However, I am screwed onto the right bolt... Jesus!

Thank you kindly sir. I was a hobby wood carver that decided to start building instruments once I retired. These are just the steels. I have built dulcimers, guitars, banjos, bass, mandolins, and even a bowed 1 string psalmodicon. I'm also building a lap steel 4 string bass. But that's on the back burner until the double neck project is complete.

Have a great 4th of July.
