Hi all.
A while ago i bought a Fender S6 in VG+ condition. Two pickups + blend knob (you all know that, sorry) and, voilá, it didn't function as described.
One pickup was weak and thin, and pots were more than scratchy. No problem, as i've told to my child "we need to find how to solve the problem"

I took it to a friend of mine who does all kind of jobs, and decided to put it back in perfect playable condition.

Best pots, jack, wires and cap were bought (USA to Easter Island, 3-4 weeks shipping) with the idea on my mind to replicate the Telecaster wiring diagram. Two pickups, 1 vol, 1 tone, 3 way switch.

The blend pot was changed for a mini switch (3 way) to select neck, both, bridge.

Pickups, Dimarzio The Cruiser neck and bridge.

WOW !! when i first plugged it, was stunned by the sound. At last the guitar was back to life in perfect condition.
amazing clear sound both PUs
neck sings and bridge rocks.
AND, dead silent with zero hum.

Now the guitar looks and sound pristine

Looks like a job well done. I can well appreciate how difficult it must be to get parts.
