Does anyone know who the steel player was in Moe Bandy's band back in the 70'/80's? I've been a fan of his for a long time and since I started to learn to play non pedal steel I have a better appreciation for whoever that guy is??? _________________ Currently own, 6 Groner-tone lap steels, one 1953 Alamo Lap steel, Roland Cube, Fender Champion 40 |

In the late 70's Tommy Moran was Moe's road player. I met Tommy in Ft. Lauderdale at that time. He was aa fine steel player and guitar player from the Mississippi gulf coast. We worked together a few times once at the New Orleans Jazz Fest. He was Dr. John's guitar player during that era as well.

Rick said he played with him for a while in the mid 1970s.
Tommy Detamore was probably in the 1980s. _________________ Lee, from South Texas - Down On The Rio Grande
