I really loved what you did with one of my very favorite steel songs. Great playing & tone. That inspired me to attempt learning the song on an 13th tuning also. |

Thanks for the comments boys. For those venturing in to this tuning you will find a lot of this tune was played around the 4 and 5 chord position. So in the key of F - Opens with F on fret 1, moving to diminished chord fret 3 followed by backwards and forwards between frets 6 and 8. Move to fret 10 for a D then back alternating between 6 and 8 before finishing on fret 13. That will give you the first part. Have a go and see what you can sus out. Not as difficult as it appears. _________________ MSA Classic 12 string Universal, Remington Steelmaster D8, National D8 Console x 2, George Boards Lap Steel, National New Yorker. |

Mick, I've been playing around in E13 and finding it quite fascinating. Your arrangement here is very sweet, I'll be playing around with it soon.
Nice work! |

I forgot to mention that the only forward slant is the diminished chord. Everything else is straight bar. _________________ MSA Classic 12 string Universal, Remington Steelmaster D8, National D8 Console x 2, George Boards Lap Steel, National New Yorker. |

Work it up, Mick, and make the tabs available for $9.00. There's much interest in this McAuliffe tuning, and precious little lesson material . I know I'd buy it... |

Sorry boys but I have not got a clue how to set anything up for people to pay me money and I would feel I was cheating the steel community if I charged. The only way it would give me pleasure is to let you boys have it for free, so I will tab it for you all.
I know how it was appreciated a few years ago when I did my version of "Nightlife" for lap steel guitar so I will set to work.
"Blue Steel Blues" based on the Tom Morrell YouTube vid will appear over the next day or so (Also played on the Leon E13 tuning) but I think that would be a bit more difficult for tabbing. _________________ MSA Classic 12 string Universal, Remington Steelmaster D8, National D8 Console x 2, George Boards Lap Steel, National New Yorker. |

It's simple, Mick... You just get a PayPal account, and ask for donations. That way, folks could pay as much as they liked, and you'd get something for your hard work.
Please post any and all Leon E13 stuff you've got! It will be appreciated. |

Mick,
Thank you so much for your significant, gracious effort. That saved me a lot of time since I was planning to give it a try. I'm sure the other non pedal steelers wanting to learn the song in that tuning will really appreciate what you shared. Many Kudos to you. |

Thank you so much!
Even just following along with the tab, listening to your video, I learned more solid E13 info than most anywhere else. |

Mick,
Just checking.......
In the 1st bar (and later) the three note 0 > 1 should be on strings 1, 2 and 3, yes? Not 2, 3 and 4, as tabbed?
Thanks again! |

This is what happens when you have two guitars laying around. One set up in my den and the other in the kitchen/diner next to my computer. The Remington E13 has an E at the top which is usual but my National has G# as first string. Was working on the National and had to keep translating. _________________ MSA Classic 12 string Universal, Remington Steelmaster D8, National D8 Console x 2, George Boards Lap Steel, National New Yorker. |

Thanks Mick! I just recently tuned a neck to E13 and finally started exploring the tuning a bit. This helps a ton! As previously mentioned, McAuliffe songs in E13 are a rarity and in demand. Thanks for your effort |
