Just finished another aluminum Weissenborn Lap Steel, 22 1/2" scale, tuned C6: C-E-G-A-C-E

Handles the C6 tuning just fine.

Aluminum fingerboard painted white, under saddle passive Piezo pickup. Weighs 5lbs 10oz.

Here is a short sound clip:

sounds nicer than I had imagined! (I'm not a wood body weissenborn fan). Thanks for posting the sound clip. Very cool. Nice work.

These are so cool. The sustain is incredible. Will they be available for purchase?

Nice work, Wayne. It is an interesting concept. The sustain is excellent. If anything, I miss the lower string tones. It leaves me wondering what a long scale, 8 string instrument would sound like.

I made a 25" scale aluminum Weissenborn, tuned open G (G-B-D-G-B-D). Here is a sound clip of it, just simple arpegios.
