I'm running my pedal steel through a profex and a digital power amp. with two speaker enclosures. My question is how can I also run my electric guitar through the same set-up. So I don't have to carry along and extra amp and I can utilize the profex sounds on the six-string.

YOu probably need to sort through some of the factory presets on the Profex and find some settings that suit your guitar style and the sound you want ...the Profex was actually originally designed for guitarists so there should be something there to suit. Some sort of AB box would probably help with switching between instruments too.

Stew,
There was a good discussion running on this subject not to long back, you can probably find it if you do a search.
I use an in expensive A-B box on my rig to run both steel and 6 string thru the same amp, and effects board.
Works for me, you may want to try something different.

A/B box is the way to go. I set it up on the floor right next to my steel, so as I am getting up to grab the 6 string I stomp on the switch.
