I have a friend that has a Carter Starter and the RNR has no stop on it. I suggested a Sho~Bud style angle bracket with allen bolt and locknut to provide a stop for the bell crank. I'm assuming the top of that guitar is thick enough and strong enough to hold that bracket with wood screws. Anyone know what wood/thickness Carter Starter used for the top?

Sorry, Gibson, I don't know the thickness, but it does hold the existing knee lever brackets, so I imagine a Sho-Bud might work.

Here is another option that Mr. King came up with. A cheap, easy, adjustable stop:

The starter top is solid maple and will hold screws very well.
