Daughter just saw Merle's steel player in NYC last night. Said he had a neck that's lit up. Def have issues in some productions where I have an important part, chime, etc and so dark I can't see where to play. Was thinking would be great if frets lit up. I guess there's something out there. Let me know. thanks

MSA has them as an option on their guitars. Not sure if they can be fitted to other makes but you could ask 'em.

Try headlamps, ones that have multiple brightness selections. You can also switch to red to protect your night (dimly light stage) vision.

I like to use one of these (the polarized safety glasses are optional):

Mario told me that he found a guy in England that makes them, and he fitted it to Norm's GFI. Maybe you could go to his FB and see if he'll get back to you - Mario Carboni. He's been on the road for a while, but when he gets back to normal he may give you the info you need.
