have an early model MCI serial number D10A139. can anyone tell what year it was built. D10 I would guess means D-10 which it is . with the way the pedal rods hook and the placement of the 1/4 in. jack position I would bet it was built the couple year they built them in Waco. non wielded body chrome 705's sounds like and angels choir.

Daniel I have a Waco MCI which I am currently rebuilding, and I am guessing maybe 1983-85 ish ....I also have a Welded frame Rangexpander which I bought new in 1986 and that was built in Arlington.
I am not sure how long they built them in Waco though - another thing to watch out for is the leg socket thread size. The Waco I have turns out to be 7/16thx14 rather than the conventional 1/2" of the later MCI weldeds - and just about every other manufacturer.
The good news is that Allen Ray from suncoasteasycom@yahoo.com, who builds those great lightweight airline legs etc... has built me a set of legs with the 7/16thx14 leg sockets so I will be picking those up in a couple of weeks to bring back home.

Got with Allen Ray a couple months ago for new legs
He had to order in the 7/16x14 plugs.Told Him I was in no rush. Legs are the chrome over alloy and worked great

He sure went the extra mile for me on those older MCI legs Daniel - the lightweight ones are great, and I have a set for my Zums when I fly anywhere - perfect !
