Monday, the "Morning Edition" program on National Public Radio in the US gets new theme-music, after 40 years. A NY Times story today mentioned the use of pedal steel guitar on the recording; according to the link provided, yes, in the mix towards the end of the soundbite-link, but not that prominent. (And just me, but the new theme—aside from what the NYT article said—seems rather low on melodic content. Whatever.)

If anyone’s interested, I hope you have better luck with the links than I did . . .
Old theme played fine, but new one refused to play until after a long wait.
