I have a Goodrich volume pedal model 120. When I play through the pedal it has too much bass on it. Maybe someone ahas an idea what's wrong?

| Make sure it's connected correctly. The front jack is the input jack (or it is if it's internally wired correctly). If it's reversed it can be bassy. |

| Pot pedals usually lose treble as they're throttled back. There's a mod to correct this, but I can't remember what it is. Just a resistor and a cap as I recall. A tank circuit?? |

This is the final word on that---get a Goodrich Matchbox 7A. It removes that bassy "blanket" from your sound, and increase the gain to about 8 on the knob and you'll get very close in tone to electronic pedals. This won't, however, cure scratchy pots or the generally lousy taper of most pots.
