Hello All,
I have a '78 MSA D10. I want to add RKL to pull 4th string on C6 +1/2. However, as you probably already figured out, my 4th pedal raises that string +1 and 7th pedal also raises it +1. There is no "hole" to put in the rod to make the pull because the 2 "holes" are already used by the 4th and 7th pedal.
So how do I add this pull?? I do you use the P4 some. I got a feeling I'm about to learn what triple raise means.
If I have to give up the 4th pedal pull is there a way to have a half knee level stop so I can have that RKL pull +1 and get the +1/2 without missing it?
Thanks for the help.

Some years ago I seem to remember Tom Bradshaw had an article in one of his newsletters showing how some players rigged an MSA to get an extra pull. Contact him and see if he can send you a copy of this article. |

Tom Bradshaw has a fix for this. With an extra part of his own design, he can change a double raise, double lower finger into a triple raise, single lower. He developed it for MSA guitars like yours, but he was able to add it to my old Sierra Olympic too.
Contact Tom.

A quick fix would be to put an extra bell crank on the 7th cross shaft.
Pull this bellcrank with a rod from the RKL.
Tune the note by having an adjustable stop on the RKL |

The Bradshaw piece is the answer. Just log on to his website and order you one. He is a master with the MSA guitars. |
