Today we completed my friend Ron Anderson's new Lacquer Pro Lite.
Ron built the cabinet himself, from Red Mesquite.
and we put her together.
It has 3 pedals and 5 knees.
It sounds like a lacquer guitar like it should. See pictures below.

I don't know about this...wasting perfectly good grilling/smoking wood on a pedal steel guitar...

The mesquite wood is something Ron works with all the time, and wondered what kind of steel guitar cabinet it would make.
It sounds real nice, It pretty much sounds like a lacquer steel guitar should sound.
It plays real nice to, if I could get under it (1" under) Very Happy
Ron just loves it and that's the important thing. Very Happy

Lee Baucum, come out here where I live. Believe me there ain't no shortage of mesquite wood. I'll load the trunk of your car with it.

Fred: Are you considering offering this as a standard model?

No Bruce, I'm not set up to do lacquer guitars.
This was something Ron wanted to do, and ask me to make it a Pro Lite. Its a "one of a kind" guitar.
