On his middle neck here, I think it's E13. Anyone know his tuning top to low? Is it same as standard E9 pedal steel? Thanks

Yes E13th on the middle neck.
He said he didn't string the front neck and used that to put his drinks and ash tray! Laughing

There will never be another like him! RIP. Sad

Todd Clinesmith posted this a while ago. He'd be the one to know;

Thanks for posting that. I figured that was probably the tuning. Those F#'s included in the 10 strng are nice to have. A little frustrating learning Toms' riffs without them on 8 strng.
Yea, Tom's the best non pedaler in my book.

Hi Steven,
When I've used that tuning I just deleted those bottom two strings, D&D.
Others delete the High F# or the High G# and the D or the E while some do it other ways.
I just found I liked both F#'s where they were.
If I'm playing and the tune seems to call for the low D I just retune the low E to D.
I found I really like the things Doug Beaumier has posted on youtube with his 10 string and his bottom string is a B above the low E that Tom Morrell used.
Best wishes,
Andy
