1981 Sho-Bud Super Pro D10 8+6 pedal steel guitar, rebuilt to a solid working standard. One of my main axes for the past few years, I have found a new toy and this sweet guitar still needs to get out, so here goes....
Many critical pot-metal parts have been replaced with machined aluminum, the E9 pickup has been upgraded to a humbucking George L E66 (the original ShoBud pickup remains on the C6 neck), repro color fretboards have been applied, and all funky Sperzel tuners replaced. A vintage volume pedal, solid factory case, and many spare parts are included.
Beautiful wood grain and polished end plates make this a standout under the stage lights, the only significant blems are a heat bubble on the back fretboard and pretty rough chrome on a couple of the legs (which are from Eric West's "knife-handle" Professional for those who care), all else is visibly stellar. Action is smooth and tight and the the tone is exceptional.
Triple-raise, double-lower changers. Conventional Emmons copedant throughout.

Great guitar for that price. Bang for buck.
I just added a SP to my collection of guitars. They really play nice. And you can still get parts from PSG parts.
