Last weekend my teacher Brian Wilke filled in on steel. Here's a recording of one of the singer's originals "Just Tell My Boots."

I'm the bass player. It was a very fun night. |

I met Brian quite a few years back when he was with the Hoyle Bros (maybe he still is?) and they were in Austin during SXSW. We were on the same bill at some venue out west of town a ways, and we had a chance to visit a good bit. What a nice guy, and obviously a great player as well!
Karl, he may remember me, or not... but tell him hey next time you see him! |

Thanks Guys,
We were having a good time. I've been with Paul as his bass player for about 2 years now. Forum member Steven Anderson is our regular steel player and he's been onboard for about a year and a half. We play almost every week.
Bill,
I'll mention you to him. He is still in the Hoyle Brothers though I don't think they get out of the state very often anymore.
Paul just put up another one. The steel is just as good, but the rest of the band isn't quite as tight. First time I ever saw that song is on this video.
