furthermore, the shobud maverick body is being offered to me at 300 dollars. is this a good deal? could I make a few bucks if I bought all the rest of the pedal steel and re-sold it?

I don't think it would be worth the effort to try & track all that stuff down & match it up, especially since the Maverick was a student model & not particularly good.

FWIW, my 1st steel was a Maverick; I paid $10 for it.

The Sho-Bud maverick was a student model, if the guitar is a pro 1 or pro ll or 3 you might make something off it, but not a maverick guitar.

If I recall correctly, some if not all 'Maverick' model legs were simply sections of aluminum tubing held in place by thumb screws. The tubing should be available at Lowes or Home Depot, tips are available there or at Walmart. This would at least enable its use as a non pedal guitar..I concur with other members, you could very well end up upside down in no time if you attempt to replace the lost parts. At present, would not pay more than in the $75.00 to $100.00 range(especially if it is the later no neck, contact paper covered version).
