Anyone tried BL 705s in an Emmons PP? If so, what is your experience? I have a set of True Tones I am gonna put in one PP but I am considering putting a set of BL 705s in another PP.
Thanks

craig, if you can find a pair of original pickups fine, but i would not go with the newer ones. you will have to drill a hole thru the mounting plate and also thru the body of the guitar....thanks jack |

705s in PP are just fine to my ears. They are very tall so you will have to mount them directly to the plate with no spacers. The hole mentioned is not a big deal to me and will accommodate the pickup up wires. If I didn't have a set of single coils I would not hesitate to use 705s myself and they are quieter for sure. Travis Toy had an original chrome 705 mounted to use with his new MSA along with a new one. We did a shootout between the two and could not hear much difference at all, but that was just us.
