I received a call from Bob’s wife tonight. She told me that Bob passed Monday after a short illness. She asked me to post it here. He was a great bass player and friend.

What sad news. Bob was a super person, and friend to many. He was a main stay at the Siloam Springs show. Prayers and deepest sympathies to Trish and their family.

I met Bob last year at Baxter Springs Kansas steel show and purchased 2 cases from him. We had a long and enjoyable visit talking about old times and music. What a great guy and even better player. I'm sorry to to hear about his passing. My condolences to the family.

Bob was a dear friend and a true blessing to me. We shared a passion for laughter and we made sure to try and keep each other in stitches. He emailed me a few weeks ago regarding Ray Charles and we had such a great discussion of Ray's genius and talent in music. He NEVER mentioned any problems or issues... that was Bob - courage and dignity. My prayers go out to Trish and family. Rest in peace, my friend. You have made me temporarily sad, but I will see you in a little while, and YES... I will definitely have a story to make you laugh! Love you, brother.

Sad news about Bob. We played together for 5 or 6 years. He sold me my first steel, an MSA single neck and told me the setup and how to use the pedals and lever, etc.. He was a regular at the Siloam Springs and Baxter Springs jams and conventions.
Prayers for Trish and all who loved Bob.
RIP Bob

As many have said, Bob was a really decent guy. He built me several guitar and rack cases and I always held them up as "the standard". I always found a friend in Bob. So sorry to hear of his passing. Another great guy leaves us.
