I played a gig Saturday evening and there was another steel player there. He was playing a Carter SD 10 and let me do a little playing on it. I had never played a Carter guitar before but that guitar played very easy. The tone was pretty good as well. I have known Bud for several years and know he is a great builder and a great individual as well. I know there are many Carter fans out there and they sell a lot of guitars. Now I know why.

Bud Carter does build a great guitar, i plan on adding 3 more knee levers on the C-6 and even though my goal is to buy a emmons legrande III some day, i will keep my carter and play it too, its that good!

I got a D-10 Carter as a Christmas gift from my wife with 8 & 7....beautiful guitar and such a smooth playing guitar and tone to the bone. I have also got an '85 Emmons LeGrande SKH with 8 & 7 (just been re-built by Bobby Bowman). I have retired my Emmons to the studio and practice rooms, my Carter goes out to gigs. Bud Carter not only builds one of the finest pro guitars, but is a true gentleman as well. Took my Carter ti him a few weeks ago for some adjustments and he was so gracious to drop what he was doing and get on my guitar. John Fabian was very kind and took care of some other things that I needed in regards to my guitar........I recommend Carter Steel Guitars. HAL
