I have a GFI student model that the 5th string b goes sharp after I release the pedals it will return to in tune b if I tap my e lever. I have tried everything I can think of to correct this but I'm stumped. Anyone have an idea? |

Something is dragging in there, Stan. I would look at the string 4 and 5 fingers and see if possibly just a little lube there between them helps. Turn your guitar upside down in the case and operate the pedals and levers to try to spot the problem. There shouldn't be any interaction between the pedals and the E lever.
Good luck with this. _________________ Excel Superb U12, MIJ Squier tele, modified Deluxe Reverb RI, Cube 80XL, self built acoustics & mandolins |

Check the cross shaft under the hood and make sure it is moving free when released, And no rod is dragging on another rod. Check the B string at rest. There should be a small amount of free play in the pull rod before the nylon tuning nut engages the changer laver. (Thickness of playing card). If no free play in the rod before pull. You may need to move the pull rod 1 hole longer pull on the bell crank so the rod will have a little free play before engagement.
Good Luck finding the problem and cure, Happy Steelin. |
