My first incline is to say pitch it, I sat behind a mavrick once there are tunning adjusters there right? then get a hold of a good PSG dealer and have them fax you over a tuning chart, you may find that the mavrick is limited. But have fun ! |

Tune it kinda like a push-pull, Ernie. Tune the pedals with the keys, then the open strings with the nylon tuners. |

There're no Nylon Tuners on a 'stock' Maverick.
On any particular string that changes, tune the higher note with its tuning key (towards the left end) and then tune the lower note by adjusting the hex-head screw at the changer (right end).
On a string that does not change, use the tuning key.

Thanks guys, I had to go under the guitar and give it some relief, someone had changed the draw length and it would not go back to pitch. Leon Roberts gave me the tunning sequence, tune all your pulls then the open strings and then you have to use the allen heads to tune the open strings to pitch.
Does not sound to bad but the pickup has went micro phonic, you touch the guitar anywhere with the pick and it sounds.
I have not bought this not with 2 shobuds at my disposal, just setting it up so a dobro player can learn pedals.

Of course you're right, Russ--it's been thirty-plus years since I had that old Maverick.
Sorry, Ernie! |
