Hi friends,
I’m listing my Rick Kelly telecaster for sale/trade. I am hoping to sell outright or trade for a D10 steel guitar by Mullen or Williams or Emmons.
Here’s some info about the tele. It was built by Rick a Kelly of Carmine Street Guitars in NYC. It was made using pine reclaimed from Jim Jarmusch’s apartment in the Bowery. They call this wood the “bones of NYC” as it is very old. And if you don’t know who Jim Jarmusch is, Google his name. The body is pine, the neck is paduak with a snakehead. The neck profile is a medium C, and there is a truss rod. I recently had a set of Fralin Split Blades installed, as well as a treble bleed. All the hardware is top notch.
I’m including a link to the ad on Reverb where it is also for sale. As I mentioned, I am only selling to fund a new psg, so I thought I would list it here as well. Feel free to ask any questions, or if you want any more photos.
Thanks!

I'm not in the market, but Bill Kirchen has a Rick Kelly Tele made of that same pine, and I think I'd recognize that sound anywhere. There's a video on YouTube of Dan Erlewine talking to him about the guitar. It's a wonderful instrument.
