I have a Stereo Steel. When you use the effects !oop, the effects go to both the right and left channels. There is no adjusting knobs for effects right and left. Also, there is not two effect sends inputs and returns. Unless the inputs are TRS stereo, you can't use the effects loop in stereo.
Now,to your question: It does not look like it is hooked up correctly. By using two output jack's on you Bass-Fex, are you trying to run stereo into the Stereo Steel? I don't think you can do that, but somebody may correct me. The normal hookup using the effects loop would be effects send > input #1 of Bass Fex > output #1 of Bass Fex > to effects return. You can also use #2, just stay in #2 all the way and don't combine it with #1. All you are doing is telling your guitar signal to go outside the amp, into the Bass Fex, pick up what ever is in the Bass Fex, then come on back home via the effects return.
Have you tried running direct to the Bass Fex after the volume pedal, then to the amp instead of using the effects loop? The mfg. of my Wet Reverb pedal said it was best to use the effects loop. I tried it, but
liked going direct better. Everybody hears different. |

Sitting here thinking about how you can run you Bass Fex in stereo with the Stereo Steel. You need a volume pedal with two out jacks, like a Goodrich 120. Go out of one of the volume pedal jack's to the left input on the Bass Fex and out of the other jack to the right input on the Bass Fex.Go out the left output of the Bass Fex to the left RCA input of the Stereo Steel. Go out of the right output of the Bass Fexp to the right RCA input of the Stereo Steel. Use the right and left controls on the front of the Stereo Steel to control the volume of the left and right speaker cabinets individualy, and the large knob to control the overall volume of the speaker cabinets at the same time. |

The Bassfex has one mono input only |
