First, thank you to all that watch my steelpicker channel on YouTube.

I am noticing that when I open some of the video's, they do not start at the beginning of the video.

I don't know if that is because I have watched segments of the video to be sure it plays correctly or not.

When you open my video's, do they start at the beginning?

If not, what can I do to fix it?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Bill

Bill I think Its as you say... You’ve watched the video or part of it and then stopped and went onto something else... Guess I’m not the only one who see’s squirrels every time I turn my head... LOL... I have the same problem with mine when I go onto something else in the middle of the video... But your video’s always start at the beginning when you share a link.

I get the same thing. It seems these websites remember where you’ve been and they try to think for you. Most of that stuff will go away if you delete your browsing history.

When you watch a video and stop somewhere in the middle, the browser history takes you exactly to that part of the video.

Also, on thze opening page (the one with news from subcribed channels and recommendations) has a chapter called "Continue Viewing", showing some videos that you haven't watched completely.

So in general, nothing to worry about, it is just a system feature.

Kind Regards, Walter

Bill, I learned this from Forumite Basil. There is an extension that can be used at the end of a Youtube Link to make the video start at a certain amount of seconds into the video.
Maybe this is somehow in your Youtube Link???
Here is Basil's example from another thread:

Note the extension ?t=576 (five hundred and seventy six seconds into the video..)
