I've got a "Crawford cluster" on my guitar, something I've never had before so I've never given much thought to. I've now got two levers each on LKL, LKR, and RKL.
just wondering who uses clusters here, and how you've got them set up. and why?
or if you could add another lever or two, what would they be?
I'm also interested in what splits are the most popular. I've never used them but that's about to change...
open to suggestions and discussion. thanks! _________________ 1965 Emmons S-10, 3x5 • Emmons LLIII D-10, 10x12 • JCH D-10, 10x12 • Beard MA-8 • Oahu Tonemaster |

One obvious thing (to me) is to get rid of the half-stop lever. Have one lever lower the 2nd string to D and another lower it to C#. That way you'll always get a real solid, in-tune D note. _________________ -𝕓𝕆𝕓- (admin) - Robert P. Lee - Recordings - Breathe - D6th - Video |

I did that awhile ago and I couldn't agree more. I love the idea of a half-stop but I've yet to find one that really works for me _________________ 1965 Emmons S-10, 3x5 • Emmons LLIII D-10, 10x12 • JCH D-10, 10x12 • Beard MA-8 • Oahu Tonemaster |

Of course, Jimmie tuned his second string to D and had no half stops.
