1955 Fender Deluxe 8 with Trapezoidal Pickup
All Lollipop Tuners work perfectly. The Trap Pickup was rewound to original spec by Tom Brantley Rewinds about 2 years ago and sounds great!
The tone pot is a replacement, but the original is included. It likely works fine as the new pot behaves the same way, pointing to the need to replace the tone cap instead.
The tweed case is stable, but not in great shape, and I'm not sure that it's even original to the guitar. It is too long, and someone in the past seems to have carried it about with the guitar able to slide back and forth in the case, which is likely the reason the finish is so scratched up around the tuning keys end. Perhaps the case was for a Stringmaster-style Deluxe?
I will of course pack the instrument so that it is not able to move inside the case.

Maybe a previous owner was keeping a flask in that available space which leaked and the guitar finish and case lining reacted to the alcohol? No matter. Very cool guitar priced reasonably. Good luck! |
