Bob, I play Day setup. The A and C pedals are reversed. The lower and raise knee levers are reversed.

Yeah, well, if you consider that Jimmy didn't use the same knee lever changes as Emmons
to wit: http://b0b.com/tunings/stars.html#E9jd
Actually what 'Day Setup' has come to mean is 'opposite of Emmons setup' that is:
Pedals are C B A (rather than A B C)
Left Knees raise E's on LKR and lower on LKL (rather than vice versa)
John Hughey is probably the best example of the 'opposite from Emmons' setup. http://www.johnhughey.com/setup.html
Interesting that neither Jimmy Day nor Lloyd Green lower(ed) the 4th string to D#
AND
Both defy the prevailing logic that E to F should be on the same side of the left knee as the A pedal
Most 'Emmons' players have it on LKL and Lloyd Green has E to F on LKR
Most 'Day' players have it on LKR and Day actually raised E to F on LKL

Just one slight big~nose in on this one! I think , if you inquire around, you'll find that Jimmy Day actually Raised (E)'s on LKL! The same as Emmons setup! Surprise~surprise! Of course, I could be wrong! I remember I was wrong once before, but; I can't remember ‘Where Or When’!
[Just had to edit that (E)-Lowering out of there!]

I've read that Lloyd put the E to F change on the LKR because that was the lever that happened to be available at the time. Obviously if one plays the Emmons pedal setup, then the E lower/raise on the left knee does seem to be the obvious choice, although I have read different folks here who say they can go from the lower to the raise and vice versa, smoother when the E's are on different knees. |

Well, I was pretty sure about the LKL Raising the (E)'s the same as on the Emmons Setup, but; it had slipped my memory about the E Lowering on the Right-Knee, rather than the LKR! I wasn't completely correct, but; neither was I ‘all’ wrong! Could we call it a draw?
