Sounds like Jimmy Day on the Everlys records around that time. |

Joe - more coffee needed - it's Margie Singleton, not Melba Montgomery.
I like the tune, it has kind of a "George and Margie go to Vegas" vibe. _________________ Mark |

Thanks, Mark! My apologies to Margie. She sings the heck out of that tune. I'm sure I looked right at it and still wrote Melba Montgomery, oh well.
Marco, interesting that it's Walter Haynes. He has a great reputation as a '50s session guy, but I certainly don't know his sound. I love the bluesy thing he's doing on this tune, and that they let him do it!
Thanks guys,
Joe |

Most of the steel on the Everly Brothers' early albums was by Jimmy Day but at least one LP 'Both Sides of an Evening' had Walter Haynes. _________________ Roger Rettig: Emmons D10, B-bender Teles and Martins - and, at last, a Gibson Super 400!
