Jazz Guitarist Jim Hall had a knack for taking seemingly simple musical elements but applying them in ways that were profound. I always loved his arpeggiated open to Paul Desmond's tune "Bossa Antigua"; it's just arpeggios, but not the notes you might expect and it just fits like a glove while still sounding fresh and free from cliche. Here it is for C6th with the original recording below.
