I have an older Sho-Bud LDG Case, that has some of the material worn off where the guitar would rest. I have refinished the laquer on my guitar and don't wish to have it scarred by the case. I would like to know if there is some simple fix for this, or should I replace the all the material inside the case?

Be careful if you just "glue some new material over the worn spots" as the glue might react with your lacquer finish and blister it.

The best fix is to reline the inside of the case. I recently did that to my Franklin case, which is similar to the old Sho-Bud cases (may have been made by the same case co in Nashville).

I used a red crushed velour that I bought at an auto upholstery shop, but many sewing and material shops also carry crushed velour. It's a bit of work to reline the inside of a case and you may want to consider having someone that does that type of work do it.
